Can’t Make Up My Mind

Hhhh…I can’t make up my mind up!

About what, you ask? Everything drawing related! I cannot figure out what I want to draw to save my life :/

*sigh*…

Original OCs

I need a character-or characters-that I draw a lot. Sort of like a…a personal character, so when someone sees it they go, oh yeah, that must be so and so’s drawing. Know what I mean? But what to draw, that is the question… O_o

Cats? Dragons? Unicorns? Dogs? Lizards? Monsters? Robots? “Live” stuffed animals? Tigers? Polar Bears? Bunnies?…the list could go on and on…

So far I’m digging these, though:
-Dragons
-Monsters
-Robots
-Unicorns

They just allow so much more creativity because there is no real example to follow. Now to just pick one.

Anyways, I got new pen tips, so now I can finally draw digitally again! :D

Princess Curls! …With A Flat Iron

Yes, here it is! Finally!

Today I’m going to tell you how to curl your hair with a flat iron. It is super easy and fast (once you get the hang of it), and it looks amazing.

Supplies:
-flat iron
-dry head of hair (works best if allowed to air dry

Pin up the top half of your hair. Ick :/
*Tip: Do not start the next step until your flat iron is literally steaming. It will be so much easier if you wait.

Grab a medium-sized (about an inch or two) chunk of hair, and run your fingers through it so it is flat.

Pin your hair in the it, and twist the flat iron as you pull it down the length of your hair chunk.

It will look like this. Switch directions every now and then to make it look more natural.

…and this is what it looks like! 🙂
The curls are super bouncy, and yet they are soft.

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial, and I’ll see you next time! 😀

Just An Obsession: The Perfect Messy Bun

I looooove messy buns. Just their cute and carefree look is so pretty.
I used to not be able to, but here is how to have the perfect messy bun:

Start with some wavy hair, and volume is always a plus.

Flip your hair over.

Bring it all up into a ponytail on the top of your head (like, as high as it will go without being a ponytail for a samurai haha), but don’t actually use your hair tie yet.

Gather it all into a bun-like lump of hair. I like to do this by wrapping it all over my hand, and then spinning whatever is leftover around the loop I made with my hair.
Sorry for the poor picture quality on this one, it is hard taking pictures upside down 😛

Wrap your hair tie around your bun. Almost half of your bun will come out, but that’s okay. Take a second hair tie, and squash your bun down, and wrap the hair tie around it as well. Pull the bun apart a bit so it is messy and big. Don’t be too picky though, it looks better sloppy and gets better and better as the day goes on!
Also, pull your bangs back. I like making a poof on the top center of my head.

Let some pieces fall out in the front, and loosen up the rest of your hair a bit by tugging at it some.

Then you have a cute, messy bun!
Best part is, it is cute when you pull it up, and it is still cute by the time you pull it out!

…and remember, don’t be too precise with it…it looks better somewhat sloppy and carefree.

Just An Obsession: Mermaid Lagoon

Remember how I said that I got “Mermaid Lagoon” in a set of 3 nail polishes the other day? Well, this is that nail polish, and I am completely and utterly obsessed with it.

It is extremely glittery, and is so cute. Plus, it has two of my favorite colors in it; purple and blue! It even sparkles when it is not bright outside!

Anyways, I just wanted to share that little bit with you, please excuse my ranting 🙂

DIY Mod Podge

Mod Podge is good for a lot of craft needs, but it is SO expensive. I mean seriously, who wants to spend that much on glue?
So here’s how to make it:

image

You’ll need tacky glue (or original elmers glue), a jar, and some water.

image

Slowly add equal parts of glue and water, shaking the jar as you go, until you have the desired amount of “mod podge”.

image

…and you’re done!
It works really well (and dries clear). The only thing is, make sure you shake it up before you use it, that way it doesn’t separate.

Happy crafting!(:
